Case Studies
Aventus Energy has successfully completed its latest quayside project, supporting Noble Corporation with a comprehensive circa 60-day work scope on the Noble Endeavor. The project – based at the Port of Nigg – saw the completion of 19 planned scopes and nine emerging scopes, all delivered ahead of schedule.
Key works included: minor repairs to the lower hull, asset rebranding, BOP recertification, high pressure 4130 mud System valve replacement; technical assistance with the maintenance of drill floor and BOP handling equipment; installation of additional welfare units and their interconnection with existing vessel systems; and various maintenance scopes across the vessel, involving our structural and rope access teams.
One of the most visible transformations was the vessel’s full rebrand following Noble Corporation’s acquisition of Diamond Offshore Drilling in October 2024, which saw the Ocean Endeavor proudly depart the Cromarty Firth as the Noble Endeavor.

Over the course of the project, more than 45,000 man-hours were logged, with an average daily workforce of 56 personnel and a peak of 95 at the height of operations. The project brought together a range of key disciplines, including rope access technicians, welders, fabricators, scaffolders, and mechanics.
Ross Thomson, Aventus Energy’s Managing Director, commented: “This project builds on our longstanding relationship with Noble Corporation, and as our biggest oil and gas-related contract to date, it represents a significant milestone for the business. Once again, our team has demonstrated its ability to execute complex & time critical scopes, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Noble Team.”
